Author Information:
Jan Domagala (1955-ongoing);
I have never considered myself a writer, I would like to think of myself as an entertainer, a teller of stories. I would hope that the stories I write entertain you the reader so that when you finish the book two things happen, firstly that you feel you have had your money's worth and secondly it makes you want to know what happens next. If that happens then I can feel satisfied that I have done my job well.
I recently returned to live in Staffordshire, where I grew up, after a brief sojourn in the Derbyshire Dales. At present I am busy writing the next book in the series.

In the mid 25th century the galaxy is split between 2 super powers, the Colonial Confederation and the Elysium Alliance who are locked in a cold war.
Kurt Stryder, a member of Recon Delta, the Special Forces unit of Col Sec(Colonial Security) is the sole survivor of a secret program to create a super soldier. Deemed too dangerous to continue it was abandoned. Trapped in a secret facility on a planet deep in Alliance territory Kurt is subjected to experiments to acertain the validity of the program. Col Sec mounts a daring rescue mission to free the soldier before the Alliance learns what Col Sec can only suspect, that the program was a spectacular success. In the first of the Col Sec series we are introduced to Kurt Stryder, a man who is changed beyond his wildest imaginings due to a program he volunteered for. A program he was told could change the military forever. We journey with him as he faces his destiny and has to decide whether to remain a pawn of his government or become a soldier with no master, a Ronin. |
Matthew Hawk, an agent of Col Sec Intelligence Division was vital to the rescue mission that helped bring Kurt Stryder back from the clutches of the Elysium Alliance in Ronin, the first in the Col Sec series. In OMEGA, Matt takes centre stage.
On a mission to capture a terrorist cell Matt and a group of Recon Delta marines led by Colonel De Boer, find more than they bargained for. They captured a lone figure who turned out to be their first contact with OMEGA an insidious group that had infiltrated all walks of life including even the protector of the Colonial Confederation itself, Col Sec. Once they returned to Col Sec HQ on Earth for interrogation they learn that this figure is more than they realise and more dangerous than they could ever imagine. Narrowly evading their death at the hands of their captive and an unknown cohort, General Sinclair, the head of Intelligence Division and Matt Hawk begin an investigation into the true nature of this OMEGA group. What role does Jonas Wilde, the second in command of MaxCorp, possibly one of the largest megacorp in the galaxy and the supplier of tec and munitions to Col Sec, play in this? Does Maxwell Eisenhower, the head of MaxCorp know anything? Through a sudden intervention by Tanya Wilde, the daughter of Jonas, Matt learns something that leads him to a conclusion so shocking that it could rock the very foundation of the Colonial Confederation. He has to act fast to save the lives of this beautiful young woman and his friends and colleagues in Col Sec before OMEGA launches a catastrophic attack on Col Sec HQ. Revelation after revelation unveil themselves as Matt and those at Col Sec fight for survival until the truth is finally revealed and he faces the head of OMEGA. Only one force can survive this confrontation and Matt prays that he is on the winning side. Jan Domagala picks up the pace with OMEGA, the second in the Col Sec series, so be prepared as this is one you will devour on one sitting. |
Kurt Stryder, the hero of Ronin was still struggling to make sense of the loss of his love, Zara Hardy. At the end of Omega, not sure which direction his life should go, he takes a cruise on the Colonial Queen but even this leads him into further trouble.
A rich passenger persuades the Captain to take a diversion to the Tartaran Battlefield, once the scene of one of the greatest battles between the Colonial Confederation and the Elysium Alliance. A wasteland of derelict, abandoned husks of once great starships, now home to a colony of outcasts and dregs from every society known simply as, The Outlaws. Kurt is thrown into a deadly race to save as many passengers as possible when the Outlaws attack and knowing he won’t save them all he calls for help. The Wildfire Team, a new elite unit set up by Col Sec to handle the worst case scenario is dispatched to help Kurt but when they arrive all is not as it seemed. A secret is discovered on the planet below, one that both the Confederation and Alliance alike had thought buried forever, a secret that could ignite another war between the two Superpowers should it be revealed. Kurt and the Wildfire Team must fight side by side against insurmountable odds to save the life of Prince Aswan and Natasha Garvey, his bodyguard from Col Sec Diplomatic Corp. While in orbit above the planet, the two Superpowers flex their military might in a game bluff and counter bluff. The discovery of the planet’s secret is not the only revelation here. Kurt learns where his path truly lies. Captain Jake Riley, leader of the Wildfire Team learns that some feelings never stay buried for long and General Sinclair discovers that some truths are not what they seem. At the end one final revelation that will shock them all to the core which points to an old enemy just waiting to strike again. |
An explosion on Toldax at the end of Ronin, the first Kurt Stryder adventure in the Col Sec series, saw the destruction of an entire facility and the death of General Solon, General Sinclair’s opposite number in the Alliance.
The clean up subcontracted from MaxCorp make two startling discoveries. Shortly after that Kurt is attacked on his homeworld of Celeron by a group of strangely similar men. He easily survives but the incident raises more questions than answers. Are the discoveries on Toldax and his attack linked? Is it the beginnings of a scheme by an old enemy that will lead Kurt back to Celeron? Where Kurt must face the truth behind one of the discoveries. In his struggle to face that truth Kurt takes another step toward his enemy’s endgame, and an attack on the teeth of Col Sec and the heart of the Confederation. To play this endgame Kurt and the Wildfire Team must overcome their past or face the devastating retribution of their enemy. |
In Ronin we were introduced to Captain Tony Storm, call sign Guardian and his team, Hacker and Cowboy, in Extinction they take centre stage.
A quarter of a century before, a plan to enhance the military goes terribly wrong and is covered up, something that General Sinclair, the Head of Col Sec has had to deal with ever since. An attack on a defunct base in deep space by an old enemy threatens to unleash a horror on mankind that could cause its end. Guardian and his team find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and are pitted in the forefront of the struggle. Can they stop this secret from escaping or is mankind doomed to extinction? |
Tartaran, the planet of deadly secrets is being held by the Elysium Alliance. General Sinclair of Col Sec thinks it’s time for that to change. He sanctions a new mission for those under his command in the Wildfire Initiative.
Kurt Stryder, recently reunited with his lost love Zara Hardy, now a vital member of the Wildfire Initiative too is sent back to the planet where he finally learned where his destiny lies. This time though he has the full back up of Zara and the Wildfire Team led by Jake Riley. The son of General Solon learns of his father’s death at the hand of Kurt Stryder on the planet Toldax and swears vengeance for this act. He chases him to Tartaran where he plans on killing him and restoring his families honour. Elsewhere Matt Hawk is on a mission of his own. After witnessing OMEGA attack Earth and Col Sec in particular several times over the past few months he decides it’s time to take the fight to them. He goes on a hunt to root out the daughter of OMEGA’s founder, the late Jonas Wilde. Tanya is now in command of the terrorist organisation and Matt has more than one score to settle with her. In an adventure that sweeps across the galaxy the Wildfire Team and Matt Hawk find themselves in a bitter fight for survival. Not just the terrifying and deadly creatures that inhabit the planet are out to kill them but a team of Black Knights led by Major Solon. Kurt learns the truth behind the city down on the planet’s surface whilst Matt discovers OMEGA’s true intent. These revelations are as surprising as they are deadly. In the final battle only one will survive. One will have a resurrection while the other only oblivion. In the latest chapter of the Col Sec series, Jan Domagala takes the reader on another wild ride where the stakes are higher and the danger more deadly. Resurrection is another stunning addition to an already fantastic series of futuristic high adventure. |
