Hi Jordan,
you will know that I interview successful and motivated role models like yourself, to help me get the message out, that reading is important. Thanks for doing this and if you could, can you say why you feel it is important that people should read more?
Thanks for interviewing me! I appreciate the opportunity. I think people should read more because there is always new information and new ideas you can incorporate in your life to be more successful. I have a lot of knowledge about football, fitness, and nutrition but I'm still learning new things everyday that can help me. So basically, reading adds new tools to your toolbox that help you grow as a person, and gives you a better chance to be successful in life.
What is your favourite book, and why?
My favorite book growing up was Holes. The book was a required reading in grade school, and it really was the type of book that made me feel as if I was really there, while I was reading it. I also enjoyed the movie even though movies never are as good as the books.
Are you reading anything at the moment?
Honestly, I've been pretty busy lately so I haven't had a chance to read anything. My girlfriends mom gave me the book "The Enforcer" that will be the next book I read.
Your drive and dedication in your sport has and is, out of this world. You hold records, many in fact in your State, so can you offer any advice to anyone that is wanting to do what you did/do?
Thank you, and the advice I would give them is always have goals that you want to accomplish, and do everything you can to reach them! I have trained hours and hours to reach my goals and basically, the work you put in when no one is looking will separate you from everyone else. I'm a very competitive person, so I always want to win at anything I go at in life.
What do the next 12 months hold for you?
The next 12 months hopefully hold many more opportunities for me professionally. I put a lot of time and effort into football and my fitness, and being the best football player I can be and I'm looking for that one opportunity with a NFL/CFL team, and I'm going to take full advantage of it.
Your life so far has been a journey, and one that will lead to being an accomplished NFL or CFL running back. What motivates you Jordan Roberts, to just keep going?
What motivates me to keep going is that I have battled thru adversity my whole life. I've fell through the cracks my whole life, and never been given the opportunities I truly deserve. Despite, all this adversity, I'm still driven and will stop at nothing until I reach my goals to be an established Professional Football player. I believe I'm the best football player out there, I just need someone to take a chance on me and allow me to prove myself to make a roster.
Last question, "if you could be an animal, what would it be and why?"
I would be a cheetah or a lion because they are at the top of the food chain, and they are hunters that will stop at nothing until they find there prey (goals), and I feel the same way. I'm hunting, and I'm hungry for success in professional football!
Thanks Jordan, I wish you a successful career in the NFL or CFL in no time!
Carl
