Hi Blare,
I like to promote reading, and one day I would love to have as many followers as Perez Hilton, spreading the word! I have to ask you firstly about reading, is it a passion of yours, and do you feel more people should get into reading more books? No kidding on Perez Hilton’s followers. I’d love to have them myself. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your passion. I also enjoy a good book whenever possible. I think reading is still underrated. I’ve always believed knowledge is power and everyone should have the opportunity to read and enjoy many different kinds of books. My wish for future generations is that everyone gets excited about reading. You already mentioned to me previously that you love to read when you get the chance, can I ask what is your favourite book, and why is that? I'd have to say that my favorite book would be “The Giver.” It was one of the first books that I connected with on emotional level. It opened the door to a lifelong love of literature. Maybe one day you would be happy to write an autobiography about your life and eventual success, as it is one fairly unique story, as with you being a non-signed artist making it to the Billboard charts is something only written in a book or seen in a film! Are you keeping notes for an eventual book/film script to be written, as I am sure we all would love to read/watch it? Thank you that's very kind. My success has been very difficult and exciting all at the same time. It came with a lot of hard work , commitment, and determination and I'm sure somewhere along the line there will be a time and a place to share my incredible journey. My immediate focus is making my dream a reality, I will never be finished setting new goals. I figure it will all come together when the time is right. Obviously pop stars like yourself have a crazy daily/weekly schedule, and we all would understand that work really does come first, so it would be silly for me to ask what you are reading currently but if we can talk about if you do have any spare time, what do you like to do or plan to do when you have a break in your schedule? A break in my schedule....lol. There are NO breaks!! My spare time is spent with family and friends and in a place I feel comfortable --I try to sneak in trips to Malibu as often as possible. But, I actually do like to read when I’m not in the studio or working, I try to shut out the world and just catch up on a book I’m interested in or have heard good things about. The latest one I’ve started is NYPD Red 2. It’s about the rich , famous, and connected been protected by an elite task force. NYPD Red are called upon only for the high profile crimes. I enjoy books that are very suspenseful and draw you in. Your latest music track, (Waiting For Love) I am liking it and I am sure people all over the World will agree with me. Did you write it yourself because having this talent to write music, it really is still a writing gift in itself? Waiting For Love was written and produced by Nick Nittoli & Mike Gonsolin of Trend Def. We really just wanted something that told a story but killer to listen to .I think being able to write songs is a gift but sometimes it can also be very truthful..and can get ugly. It all depends on how you interpret your feelings and how you choose to introduce them to the world. I have written several songs from “that place” that you really don’t want to go to a lot. Sometimes it makes the best songs and others really can relate to them. I know you were born in Venezuela but you moved to the US when quite young, at what age was that?
Do you remember much of your birth country and if so, do you think your musical influences have come from there, or was it once you were in the US, that these developed? I actually moved to the U.S when I was still a baby, just 6 months old. Unfortunately, I don't remember Venezuela at all. I think my musical influences definitely stem from a deep rooted connection with music and sounds from my birth country. I understood rhythms and beats before I really understood anything else. It is, and will always be, a big part of who I am. What can we expect in the next 12 months from you? I am always thinking about what's next! You'll see me move more into mainstream. I'm still looking for that perfect fit… I know this must be something you get asked all the time.................... but Justin Bieber, do you know if he is a fan of your work, and are you of his? I do get asked this question a lot and it always surprises me. Yes, I am a big fan of Justin Bieber. Who doesn’t respect him for what he has done in music? I don’t know if he is a fan of my music but I hope so. I believe all artists should respect and support each other. There is always room for more talent. Random question here Blare, if you could be an animal, what would it be and why? Elephant--- Strong, Determined, and Unstoppable When would we expect to see you touring in Europe and the rest of the World? Nothing is for sure, and everything always changes, but I will definitely fight to internationally tour after my debut studio album. Stayed tuned! It was a pleasure talking to you Blare, no doubt be seeing you at the Grammy’s very soon! Thank You Carl. I really appreciate the support. Blare @BlareLeVoir www.blarelevoir.com |
