Hi Guys,
if I could start by asking you what message you would like to say to your fans? We see our fans as our extended family that keeps on growing. So our message to them is that we thank them for all their support and interaction, and to let them know, that when they sing our lyrics with us when we perform, it's an overwhelming feeling that leaves us all chocked up. They are the tick to our tock, we love and adore them, and will continue to make them proud. - TayTay Why do you feel it is important that people, especially young people, should read more? I feel its important to read because it helps expand your mind and imagination, it can give you creativity, and in some books even escapeism. - Jude I think its important to read as it helps expand your imagination. It is important, especially in young people, as it helps enhance your vocabulary - Ed What are your favourite books and why is that ? My favourite book would have to be “Positive Thinking Every Day” written by Norman Vincent Peale. This book is very important to me as it was a gift on my 16th Birthday, and its words help me with positive thinking everyday. - Jude My favourite book is a book called “Never Coming Back”, it’s about a family that goes missing, and a detective that tries to solve the problem and find them. - Carl My favourite book would have to be the autobiography by Sir Alex Ferguson. He is a legend of football, I am a big Manchester United fan, so I really look up to him. - Ed Stormbreaker was my favourite book when I was younger. It was about someone my age at the time, and with him being a special agent, a bit like a young James Bond, which was pretty cool. - Tom Our house is full of books and I really enjoyed Maze Runner written by James Dashner. There is a whole series and the characters were easy to relate too. I have struggled with Dyslexia for as long as I can remember, and so I have always pushed myself to read. - Tay Tay Have you been reading anything recently, if so what is it and was it a good read? I have recently read a book called “The Secret”. It’s about understanding life in a whole different way. It has a real positive feel to it and has honestly changed my views on a lot of things for the better. - Tom You must have plenty of stories to tell, is there any good story you can share here, not told before? We have some stories about when we are away, performing away from home, they involve being stuck on the motorway for 3 hours when our car broke down, however we will save it for our Franklin Lake diary! - Tay Tay If you could perform with any musician or band, who would you choose, and why? We have respect for all artists and musicians, but one group that stands out is Il Divo as I love Opera and the Italian language, and there is so much emotion and soul in their songs - Jude If I could perform with any musician, it would be “The Weekend”, I feel his voice and music is so unique and deep, and it tells a story - Carl And would you ever consider writing a book one day fact or fiction ? We would like to write a book of our journey as Franklin Lake, so our followers would know every step of what we have done. - Tay Tay I would one day like to write a book based on something true, but give it a fictional twist - Carl How did you get into singing in the first place, was it something that just happened? How I got started into singing in the first place was through my brother, he has been in bands for years, and I had always been into singing. So one day I thought that I’d try going down to his studio to put a song down and I haven’t stopped since. I love it! - Tom What advice would you be able to offer anyone considering singing as a career choice ? The advice I would give to anyone considering singing as a career choice is if you love it, never give up, no matter what anyone says! - Tom I too wouldn’t say it is easy, you have to put in more work than what you would expect because you have to perfect your art, you are not just being a singer but you are being a performer too. Never give up on what you truly believe, I would also say to never put anyone down on your way up, because you could meet them on the way down - Jude What will the next 12 months hold for Franklin Lake ? 2015 is a big year for us as we are currently putting the finishing touches to our first debut Album “Crash The Party”, and we will be in a city near you soon! - Carl The next 12 months holds a lot for us as we have singles that will be released, and like what Carl said, our Album “Crash the Party”, it will involve a lot of traveling, promoting and of course the bit we love the most that is performing and meeting the people. They, the fans, make it all worthwhile - Jude If I can end by asking you Jude, and then you Carl, "If you were an animal, what would it be and why?" If I was an animal, I would be a peacock, so I could show off all the dope colours of my feathers - Carl If I was an animal, I would probably be a great white shark because I have no fear in life, and I love the water too! - Jude @FranklinLake_ |
