First of all, with the X-Factor finals, and with you all living in the house, how has it been living with a lot of different people, as I know you all lived together as a group before?
Charlie: it's been really fun actually. As we are used to living together, there's been no surprises but everyone's really good fun, and we are having such a laugh. As you know, I like to inspire people to read more by doing these interviews, so for each of you, why is it important that people should do that? Betsy: Reading is a really important thing, especially for young people as it broadens peoples horizons, and also teaches new things. Have each of you got a favourite book, and why is that? Parisa: my favourite book would be anything from the Harry Potter series. I love how imaginative and magical they are. No doubt you have not had the time over the last few months but have any of you been reading any new books? Mikey: I've actually been reading "The Power of Now”, it's a book about spiritual enlightenment, and so far it's amazing! If I can now talk about your performances so far, including the audition ones, what do you each is your best performance, and experience so far? Parisa: for us, our first audition is still our favourite. It's very us, very fun and really stands out. Judges houses too was really special for us, it was such an amazing experience. How did you all get together as a group? Charlie: Parisa and I knew each other for years, and then we decided to put a band together. We found Mikey and Betsy on YouTube... And that's how Only The Young was born!! If you all were not following your dream, what do you think you would all be doing for a job/career? Mikey: it's really tough to say, I don't think there's anything more we'd like to do than this, so I'd like to think we'd be in the music industry somehow! So who is your favourite judge, and why? Betsy: Louis, out of the judges, he is all of our favourites, we LOVE him! Have any of you met your idols yet? Parisa: I met Demi Lovato a few times, and she is a real idol of mine. We all met McBusted last summer, who are our favourite band ever, so that was amazing too! Who inspires you all to sing, who do you look up to? Charlie: at the moment we really look up to our parents. They're a solid support system with all what's going on, and they support us through everything we do. If you (hopefully) get to the last 3, who would you love to have as your guest singers/group? All: Don't you think a massive McBusted/Only The Young Colab would be amazing? Yes it would! I always end on a literary note, and to allow your fans to get an insight into how your mind works. So, if Only The Young were an animal, what would it be, and why? All: I think we would all be a group of Meerkats, we're really inquisitive, very cute (laughing) and funny. Only The Young @OTYOfficial |
