Hello to you both! I hope all is good?
Both: Hey Carl, thanks for inviting us for a chat! We're good! How are you? Not too bad thanks, extremely busy but I guess you both know what that is like! It's always good to hear that apart from you both being one of the best (still) unsigned acts of the UK music scene, and with a fair amount of your music being on the R&B/Dance iTunes top 40, that you both think it is important that your fans should read more. Why is reading important to you both? Both: Reading is one of the first things you learn to do, and within music, although it's about the emotion behind the music and the connection people get, it's in black and white. Mister Vee: Words are words, and it's those words that tell a story. What is your favourite book, and why? Jamie: Me personally, I've never been into story books but when I was younger, I met a motivational speaker, I always remember some of the advice he told me. So a year ago, I bought one of his books 'Inspired Destiny', which is all about advice and techniques in dealing with life in the best way for you. Sounds a bit cheesy doesn't it? But it's actually helped me and 'JSMV', because the commitment and sacrifices made, have needed a lot of strong will on both our parts. Have you had chance to read anything recently? Mister Vee: Unfortunately we don't have time to do a lot It's that time of the year where the festivals kick in, and we are just fully focused on music! What can we expect from JSMV in the next 12 months? Mister Vee: We have more music coming out before the end of the year, and we have a surprise too, but we can't say anything about that just yet (ha ha). Jamie: We are talking about maybe making a new album for 2015, but we haven't made any decisions just yet. We just want to keep climbing the ladder and spreading the word, becoming noticed right across the UK. What has been your musical highlight as of yet? Jamie: I think playing at the Millennium Stadium to 25,000 people has got to be the favourite performing memory so far, that's what dreams are made of, especially as Beverley Knight played alongside us too! Mister Vee: Our album launch party last year was also a special moment. We filled the club in Milton keynes and just celebrated with family, friends and fans. It was pretty memorable. Out of the two of you, who is the better performer? (tongue in cheek question obviously!) Mister Vee: (Ha ha) How can we decide, maybe you should tell us? Jamie, who do you think is the better performer? Jamie: No comment (ha ha) - we both have our strengths. How did you guys meet, and then form the group? Jamie: We were introduced to each other through a small label, we decided to work on a song together and it just clicked. We kept making music, people liked it, and we grew! If you could be an animal, what would it be and why? Mister Vee: errrrrrrrrm a fly? Haha, it would be cool to spy on people that you don't really get to see, (ha ha). Jamie: A dog, at least you feel loved when you're a dog, (ha ha ha ha!) Cheers guys, I wish you both well and to a long musical career. Carl Thanks Carl, we appreciate the support!
