Your music videos on YouTube have had thousands and thousands of hits, and they are real quality productions. Do you have much input into these productions? And on the same theme, what is your favourite song of your own material?
I am very involved in every aspect of my music. I write/co-write, co-produce and co-direct all of my music and videos. At the moment my favourite would have to be my new single "A+D". Check it out, let me know what you think. As you are someone that has grasped social media and utilised it to its full potential, what advice would you offer to anyone thinking of doing what you have, with your singing? My fans have been a huge part of my achievements. So many of them have been with me from the very beginning and I am so grateful to have their love and support. Connecting with people is incredibly important and social media have allowed me to do so. My fans have gotten me to where I am and I love them for that. Any one wanting to pursue a career in music first and foremost must really want it. There are a lot of snakes in this industry that will taint your perception on this career choice and people overall. However, it is your irrevocable love and passion that will help pick you back up and carry on. In the next 12 months, what does the future hold for you, or what do you want to happen? At the moment I am days away from opening up for Chaka Kahn in Pittsburgh. From there I will be touring and heading to South Africa later in the year. What advice would you give to your fans/followers in that it is important to read? Reading opens you up to another world. A world of knowledge, art, fantasy, history and so much more. Reading a book for me is an escape. There is nothing like finding a fantastic book that you can't put down. You become utterly lost, it's intoxicating. What is the best book you have ever read, and why is that? At the moment my favourite book is Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walters. I found it haunting and heart warming. It stuck with me and I often find myself thinking about it. Loved it! What are you currently reading at the moment, or have just finished? At the moment I am reading The Exiles Return by Elisabeth de Waal. If you could be an animal, what would it be, and why? A bird. I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to be weightless and sore through the sky. Thanks for doing this Q&A Vita, I wish you all the success (and even more so) of your fellow Canadian, Justin Bieber! Thank you so much. I really appreciate you reaching out. It was an absolute pleasure answering your questions, Vita @VitaChambers |
