How are you coping with all the long hours you will be working, as the music industry is non-stop and I know you have been working hard on your debut EP called Long Time Coming, which is out on the 15th Feb 2016?
I love being busy! It's great! I'm embarking into the industry that I've wanted to be involved in since I was old enough to realise what I wanted to do with my life! Bring on the hard work! Would you say singing and performing comes naturally to you? I would say I'm more of a natural performer than singer if I'm being completely honest with myself, but I'd say it comes quite naturally yes. I've been singing since I was 3 years old and I have always just loved it! Over the last 12 months, have you ever had an identity crisis? Identity crisis?! What like someone's stolen my details?! Nah, I don't think so... Well I hope not! There's been a few fake Facebook accounts but I think that's as much of a crisis as it gets! Would you be much of a book reader? Yeah I like to read every now and then, English (excluding music) was always my favourite subject at school and I'm always looking to widen my vocabulary and learn new things! What book or author are the ones that you have liked the most, and is there anything that you are reading at the moment? My favourite books growing up were always the Harry Potter books. I read them every night. At the moment I'm reading Dermot O'Leary's The Soundtrack To My Life and it's been very interesting so far; he's being so honest! I do love Dermot though, he's a legend! I am putting you on the spot here, so what message can you give to your fans about why reading is important? Well I don't particularly preach book reading, yet I would say it's either something you like to do or not, but it definitely widens your vocabulary, and it definitely helps you to understand words you wouldn't necessarily use in your everyday sentences. It also opens up your mind to many new things if you read about interesting topics. Give it a go! No doubt the last 12 months has been crazy for you but what has been your most lavish purchase? I've never had a lot of money growing up, so I never went nuts with it when I had my first pay-check from The X-Factor, I think I bought my sister a few little gifts and other stuff when I first got paid. To be honest though, the most expensive thing I bought myself since leaving the show was a PS4 and some Nike Jordan's! If Jake Sims was an animal, what animal would that be, and why? Ahhhh I'd be a tiger! Definitely. Tigers are just cool as fuck and they've always been my favourite animal.
