Interview by Carl Marsh - June 2014

Hello Edd,
I appreciate you doing this interview and I so glad you said yes for helping me with my cause to get more people to read! Can I start by asking you what would you say to your fans, about why it is important to read? It's important to read because it broadens one's vocabulary, and it takes you to places beyond your imagination. What is the best book you have ever read, and why? Nought and crosses written by "Malorie Blackman" is my favourite book I've read, as it made me think about racial stereotypes and what effect it has on society. Are you currently reading anything at present or just finished, if so, what was it, and was it any good? I'm not reading anything at this very moment in time as I have just finished exams and trying to relax. I'm thinking of reading "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green for my next book, as I want to read it before I watch the new film. You really have gained a massive following through social media, using it to get yourself noticed, so what advice would you give to anyone thinking about doing the same? I would advise them to get their name known for the correct reasons, and use the attention in a positive manner (for example helping a chosen charity). Of all the social media platforms that you use, which would you say is the most important one(s) for you, and why? Facebook is the one social network I use for friends and family. Not fans. My fans can contact me via Twitter: @EddBuckley. They can also follow me on Instagram and add my snapchat - Eddbuckley. I love my fans and love to make them smile by replying to them when I can. The most important social network for me is Twitter, as I can contact many company's easily and retweet important information. What do the next 12 months or so hold for you? I will carry on with my acting and extra work as well as my studies. I'm hoping to be recording my music and maybe starting a YouTube channel too :) If you could choose, would it be a social media start or, a TV host? I would do anything that would have an impact not on me but others around me, and it would depend on what position I was in at the time. I have always wanted to be a TV host, however it's extremely unlikely for me to be able to get into something like that. "If you had to choose to be an animal, what would it be, and why?" I would choose a dog because you are a member of the family and you are really loved. You are also loyal to one person. Thanks Edd, I really enjoyed asking you these questions, all the best for the future and also with YouTube. Thanks Carl, means a lot mate, Edd @EddBuckley |
